Mate I chose this image simply as it is the most pleasing image for me to view. I like the action component with your
bloke on the grinder combined with the stance of concentration on the other guy in the foreground. It could be cropped
a little on the left but I guess you wanted the dust captured also. I can almost hear that grinder zinging it's tits off. Good
depth of field.

Some other image notes

NFQ
= Is let down a bit with the signage – A bit to busy for my liking and a sloppy text

Steve = has the makings of a good shot but I think cropping the heads of the guys out in the top part of the frame
spoils it at bit. Nice use of the mirror & building though.

Straight As = I can see how much care your blokes go to mate, I haven’t seen that sort of quality control here, but I
guess we have a better base to start with. This shot is not that stimulating and face too dark.

Angles = Good use of getting my eye to wonder around the frame, I think it could have been improved with something
else of interest in the foreground or background.

Voyeur = Nice shot full of stuff going on, would have been improved with the left hand of the site included

Foreman = Face to dark, that’s an isolation problem connected with your location. Fill flash was needed here. Fill
flash should have been introduced or a reflector. But I like the work out of focus in the background it really works.

Braze it = is my second choice; Man that guy has just about every tool at his disposal. It is a good construction shot
but could have been better if the working side of the brazing rod was in the foreground.

Over to you mate and well done on your variety of subjects

Martin's image notes

  • Voyeur – This guy appears to summing up his new digs. Image cropped.

Foreman – Henry the Foreman discusses some pressing issues with the Site
Manager while the Construction Manager inspects the work (background, white hard
hat). Image cropped

Braze It – Jimmy the plumber ensures nil leaks on his watch.

Mason – Preparing a course for reinforcement. Image cropped.

NFQ – That’s right!! Keep the hell out.

Steve – I’m sure he can’t see that bubble.......... He sure did see the white guy in the
Manitou with a camera however. Image cropped.

Straight As – That string line is doing him no favours. Image cropped.

I was really spoilt for choice this month. I have tried to offer some diversity this month to
excite your irises and provide you with a challenging task to make a choice

  • Grout this – uncropped – level adjustment

  • Reg or Green – uncropped – untouched

  • Tiler – uncropped – level adjustment

  • Hard at it – Cropped slightly only

  • Medusa – Cropped slightly only

All shots taken in Auto due to the fact I was working! Found this month as
sort of a conflict of interest with work and well this side of my life.
I really like this image. I do not love it. Main problem for me is the focus point is not where I would place it. Granted the depth of
field is substantial, but my eye tells me the focus point is on the tiles to the right rear of the subject.

Take the damn camera off AUTO ANYTHING.

I am also have a little trouble keeping my eyes away from the darkness at bottom - couldn't be helped in this instance. Good
image which may have benefited from being shot in colour with everything but the wiring washed out...... Sure points docked, but I
think it would have been worth it.

Other image notes :

Grout this - Not enough impact to scream construction
Red or green - Terrific lighting. I think it would have been improved if the electricians face or tools were  more evident
Tiler - Great subject poorly shot...... He looks as though he is trying to work out what that long red thingy is -
composition could have captured the tile cutter also. A lower point of view may have improved the image also. Don't like this one.
Hardatit - I nearly chose this one purely on the basis of "what the" value. The proximity and angle of the auger tell me that they are
undermining the LPG tank slab??? And for what?? Love the exposure and the abundance of foremen. Lunger hanging out of the
gob also inspires me.
