Well done this one mate, I selected Exocism as your best shot.

Nothing like owning something and finding another use to produce something creative! My sister lives by those rules!

I like the effort that has been made to keep your head still and combined with the look on your face really sets this image of
and exorcism off!

The lights to the upper left of the image could have perhaps been cropped out to place more emphasis on your face.

Good use of light – the red ambience compliments the image

Other image comments:

When clothes lines attack – is an approach I know of however have not even tried thus far – quite comical and appropriate
title. A little trippy for me but glad you experimented as opens new ideas.

Zapping Mangoes is a close first – great exposure and composition – as far as sparklers go -this is one of the better shots I
have seen it used.

All up good variation of shots, I think submitting three is the way to go as it gives the reviewer the opportunity to make
subjective decisions on the entries as a whole.

Good job bro

Exorcism

  • Shot in my bedroom next to a mirror for additional effect

  • Closed aperture, ISO 100, 10 sec exposure

  • Image substantially cropped

This shot was a fairly exhaustive trial and error process to get as little blurring in the subjects face as
possible so it appears to be a standard exposure. The light source is a cheap Chinese lighter that
strobes for 5 secs after lighting.

When Clotheslines Attack

  • Shot from my front balcony on a very still night

  • Closed aperture, ISO 50, 15 sec exposure, retreating zoom (worked far better than pursuing zoom)

  • Image cropped slightly from the right

This image took me ages to get right. My main aim was to get the clothesline exposed the same in all
three zooms with little noise. I like it.

Mango Zapping

  • Shot from my balcony

  • Moderate aperture, ISO 50, 8 sec exposure

  • Image cropped all over

Yup, the old favourite. Can’t beat a sparkler to dazzle on long exposures. I wasted a few trying to hit the
mango clump. I really like the ricochet angle after impact. Simple stuff.

Now we are talking!! This image really drips genius. A dazzling sparkler mixed with the soft hue of a cyalume stick
and ambient cornice lighting, the combination is very pleasing on the eye. I just cant keep my eyes off the cat
either (or the bird in the pot plant), great composition. Zero deductions this time - I don't think it would have
mattered anyways. One thing..... If you had only applied a touch of paint to the cat, maybe a classic. Well done Bra.

Other image comments:
Venus - Took on a tough subject and nailed it. Holy shit, 1799.6 seconds....... Definately not 1800 as that would
have ruined it. I'm a little confused as to which star is Venus, I always thought that when you could see it (2 hour
window dusk and dawn), it would always be the brightest in the sky. Framing is nice but bottom LH needs
cropping. Have another shot at this one.

Twisted - It was always going to be the other image for me. This has similar qualities (cat again!!!) but looks a little
"plastic". Left side composition lets down also. Ghosting looks real good.

Don't play with fire

  • Shot from in my bar on a tripod

  • F18, ISO 200, 15 sec exposure

  • No Crop - Nil adjustment

  • Manual focus

  • Timer with remote

  • Suspended lumestick, sparkler

As you can see a lot of light sources
used and managed to have my cat sit
and watch the proceeding events.

Lit the sparkler in front of the camera and
bolted!

Venus

  • Shot in backyard on a tripod

  • F3.5, ISO 1600

  • 1799.6sec exposure!

  • 18mm lens

  • Remote fired until camera closed

  • Level Adjustment and despeckle

Managed to get this right on first attempt
Framed the shot on

I am assuming that as Venus is in its own
orbit - it's path is different from all the
other stars?

Twisted

  • Shot from in my bar on a tripod

  • F18, ISO 200, 15 sec exposure

  • No Crop - Nill adjustment

  • Manual focus

  • Timer with remote

  • Suspended lumestick, sparkler

Suspended lumestick spinning in circle
from ceiling - painted wall with sparkler
then freeze framed in front of the camera
for 5 seconds to appear as ghost
