'Cameraman'
I like the unusualness of the composition to this photo - not many people would have thought to take this shot I
reckon. Timing spot on with the background speeding car and the attention of the guy and camera really points or
directs my eyes onto his subject that is out from your depth of field. So the attention is now forced back on the
“Cameraman” once again - cool..
I can see you left this month to the last minute and somewhat dedicated the racetrack venue as a make or break.
Honestly - a little disappointed lack of variation with 3 of the images submitted where of chicks only? - don't get me
wrong - I love chicks but telephoto was the topic and I expected something more..
( I actually cut one of the girls out just to balance your submission bras. Stay focused!)
Ok other images in order of merit :
- Johnson - Nice panning shot of no -doubt o a fast moving missile good stuff..
- Champion Ruby –Classic iconic shot and well named – I doubt they realised you took this shot and doubt they
would be happy you did without them knowing? Not to glamorous – just honest.Cloning? where??
- Hot rubber – Nice shot well composed – I am still trying to work out how you took this shot and managed to do
that burnout bras?
- Turn one - shot may have worked better if background crowd was out from DOF to throw emphasis onto the
leading car just coming out of the corner. A bit too busy with all that information to see for me.

Surfers
Really nice capture of a typical beach scene. Great lighting and colour reproduction. I particularly like the seagull bottom right who appears to be right on focus. Good depth
of field to punch through the telephoto topic. The image would have been improved markedly if you caught the girl (subject) lifting her head a little, or even capturing some
facial gesture. The off-kilter highrise is catching my eye and could easily have been corrected on PP, but all in all a nice shot.
Other image notes in merit of order:
- Dropped: Nice action shot which looks to have been taken from afar. Defiately not sharp enough to be a contender, but right on topic and symetrically pleasing - LH
crop could have made it bang on.
- Hotel Hilton: Terrific shapes and pleasing DOF. Nice and sharp for an HDR knowing what you have in the bag to capture it - must have been a still day?
- Waterworks: Good HDR capture, but there is nothing to suggest that this is a telephoto image.
- Touch the Sky: Only real interest for me here is the blue windows. Was the the reason for taking this shot?? If so nice spotting.
- Olanos: This has me puzzled..... It could have been taken from 3m away with a 50mm lens (but probably was'nt). The lines are all off horizontal / vertical, I understand
you "pulled" it, but I can't get my head around it to appreciate your concept here.
