Sean's Pick - score and comments:
Ok Ok I have selected the better shot out of the mix all
the same and consider it to be your shot
“Infinity and Beyond” as I toyed with the full moon this
month too and found the difficulty in getting a composure
that worked sorted with a reasonable exposure. Although
not spot on – with some blurring and the black corner?
with your copyright logo looking adrift within. Perhaps it
could have improved with some more work justifying,
reducing font etc All the same on topic the best.
Other photos in order of merit:
- Kangaroo Point: is probably the next in line but
has a stack of juxtaposed happenings in it for my
liking. Lens flare, bridge, handrail – logo – it all
feels over worked.
- Culture mix: There maybe some method to this
arrangement but I am again a little lost in
translation. I am sure there was a shot in this but I
am not sure if this one is it.
- Bust: Off topic technically but quite pleasing to
look at – reminds me of Easter Island

Martin's photo notes:
Braaaaaz - my lot here...... As per
usual, I am first to submit.
Had some real dilemmas with this
topic. It seemed so unnatural for me
to seek out silhouette. So I decided
to go for the very unsubtle type
images.
Some notes:
- Bust - Heavy curves, cropped
- Culture Mix - Curves, cropped
- Infinity and beyond - cropped,
desaturated, contrast
- Kangaroo Point - HDR -
cropped, curves, desaturated
My website is live as of Monday.....

Martin's Pick - score and comments: "Dukes"
Nice job this month and a half mate!!
Cut and dried this period - Dukes takes the gong.
I keep looking through it, around it, behind it, waiting
for something else to happen.... It is intriguing
indeed. I would like to see the other shots that you
binned in order to get this one.
Other photos in order of merit
- Flyaway - It's no show stopper, but the mix of
movement and the busy frame appeals to me.
- Cola - Terrific colour and shapes.... But is it
true silhouette?? Would print nicely.
- Victory - Hmmmm, not sure of this one. What
was the applied filter?? Is that your tripod??
Why are you going away?? Too many
questions for mine.
- Polly - Nice and sharp around the beak, but I
can't get a connection to this shot at all. What
was cropped away? I am wondering if you cut
away some clutter, if so maybe put it back..... I
just dunno
.
- Rockit - It's tecnically not bad.... But it is
aesthetically yuck. Is that the Channel 10
building?
