Sean's Pick - score and comments
- Wahol – Yep nearly picked this – top composition and of something as off tap as black
bean garlic sauce? Good find of material and I might even print this off for our place
bras.
- Corrosive – equal second here, you cant get away from your roots can you.. Image
imparts a feeling that I shouldn’t be looking in there – IEDish Good use of light and
cropping just right.
- Nocturnal – This is a trippy image mate, the light in the background looks a lot like the
moon but the over exposing lets it down somewhat. Depth of field nicely handled. And
nice steak gone to waste
- Performer, yep fair shot of this chap, perhaps not fast enough though, I see you have
dropped over a lens flare – seen a heap of these overused in the past. I like the
colour exposure and has set the atmosphere spot on.
- Flora – I do like the colour contrast with this image – but a little boring for me bras.
Top job this month
Luv to the gang

Terrific capture. I can hear and smell the atmosphere. Composition is probably the only detraction, but it still works well with the foreground items. Lighting is great, and I bet you had your ISO maxxed. Still quite crisp and low in noise. This is a really fun image.
Other image notes in order of merit:
- Shooter - Ballsy image Bra. I hope this was'nt around Kuta. Looks like a screen capture from a 60
Minutes documentary. Nice.
- Temple Beach - Is that Tanah Lot?? Great tilt shift work in the lab. I'd like to see the raw image
too. Really good on the eyes.
- Priest - The guy is a guru. Would have liked to see a little more of his followers. What is he doing
on the soft matting??
- Stone - Nice and crisp. I probably would cropped more off the left side.
- Sweatshop1 - If it was'nt for that way too happy guy in the back.........

Sean's photo notes
Ok Ok, I didn’t have much of an opportunity to play around this month however did get a trip to Bali in
where I took a couple of hundred shots.
Here are 6 – not much time taken in preparation but mostly taken with some degree thought to framing,
1) Temple Beach: Manipulated to create tilt shift effect.
2) Shooter: Tricky shot from a moving car full zoom taken exactly at the right time – probably a crime
scene : cropped desat
3) Stone: Taken at stone carver’s residence - Nil adjustment
4) Players: Note the table number – level + contrast adjustment
5) Priest: Taken at a performance - Nil adjustment
6) Sweatshop: Always wanted to get a shot like this – level adjustment.

I found the “Free” subject quite daunting as I was chasing
for variety all the time. Not overly happy with the results.
Warhol – Cropped
A Big Day – Cropped and levels
Corrosive – Desaturated and levels
Flora – Cropped
Performer – Levels, saturated and lens flare added.

"A Big Day Out"
Bro top work this month mate, really jogged it home after your
late submission request god dammit!
Out of all my choices I ended up with your image “A Big Day”
Burnt in my head.
Great shot of a scene that many of us have witnessed but never
captured. I l really like the softness and stillness imparted albeit
with you in a tight spot.
I hope you weren’t driving? Looks like they are pretty well
buggered here.
Slight over exposure on Bridgette’s neck but hey doesn't’ detract
to much – getting the thongs in made up for it.
