Martin's Pick - score and comments
Really nice set this month Braaaz. Fairly simple choice for me
this month. Apart from a bovine ass providing some
distraction Wind Farming gets the gong.
If this isnt perfect exposure, then it is probably a 99/100.
Everything seems to work - POV, lack of saturation, DOF.
Send to Energex with an invoice.
Other images in order of merit:
Cave stream - this is lesson 101 for "leading the Eye". Nice
texture and again well done with saturation.
Green Valley - this is lesson 101 for landscape. Rule of
thirds, foreground interest, no over cooking, green is green.
Clone those HV lines out will ya??
Earths Tendons - Yup. A rock. Grab the camera. Well
executed.
No need to blat on about the others. They all have some
merit, but not in the mix for me. That bat shot could have
some heavy processing to give it some freakiness....

Martin's submission notes:
Hey Braaaaz;

Well well thought you would get around to a sub sooner or later.
Can see you limited your shots to a healthy five and not too bad on the eye either.
I understand with the new job transition you are still playing catch up and I haven’t docked you any
additional marks for the wait. (although I should..)
Down to business, I gotta say I really had to give the gong this month to Camper. I think it imparts
nature quite well in regard to simply getting out there and absorbing the space and quite. Top
composition of the bus and tree and colours nice and punchy. Would make a nice framed image, did
you get the camper’s details they would love this shot too.
Other images in order of merit,
Pump, well it’s a stretch for me to link nature to this but again a really well composed shot that had to
go here simply on visual impact alone. Looks like an album cover in the making with nice spectrum
gradient of the sky. – Good work.
Bounding, subject in good focus but looking the wrong way, like the earthy natural colour tones too.
Luna, Ok but not one of your best moon shots – a bit oh hum..
Bloom, nice DOF – did you get a macro in the end? Doesn’t blow my hair back – seen thousands of
spider lilies up here but hey I wont beat you up too much.
