Image is untouched in any way apart from a Name change.......(couldn't’t afford the penalties, and I think it
presents well anyhow)

The shot was taken in West Malaita on a Bailey Bridge over a river near the town of Auki. The subject told
me his name was Edwin. Just out of shot was Edwin’s school uniform very neatly folded ready for another
day. I thanked him for letting me take the shot and stupidly offered him SBD $5.00. He laughed me off and
jumped into the river whooping all the way. Dignity.

Another reason for my early submission is to ensure I cannot override my image selection and possibly
dismiss Edwin’s very valuable little lesson.
Beauty and the Beast.....

I know Geoff wouldn't mind me saying that.

A dignified moment nicely captured indeed.

The lack of shadowing suggests the artist may have used some slow rear fill flash, if so, it has made the
image perfectly exposed both in fore and background.

I can't help thinking that this image would have been far superior if shot portrait.

The omission of the held hands somehow disjoints the couple.

The inclusion also of the child would have made for an image that all subjects could favour.

The topic was dignity...... Intent successful.

Dignity is it!

Ok to start off for some reason I don’t really get strong
feelings of dignity from this image - apart from the
expression on Edwins face, however I cant say the same for
his seating on the bailey panel.

This is a well taken image all the same with sound
composition in relation to the horizon and overall position of
the subject in the frame.

The same can be said for the exposure - it is spot on with
no sign of over exposure of the subject evident.

I am sure this image should be given to the parents in a
frame. Nice work bro

This shot has a level & contrast adjustment which is typical to every shot my
camera takes and I am not to fussed as my shots usually are slightly
underexposed which allows me to win back the image later.

It also has been de-saturated in line with a standard wedding photograph.

Last weekend Geoff asked if I could take some photos of his wedding to Rachel.

They decided on a low key beach wedding and this was taken as they made their
way down a public pathway as an aisle.

He is a rather forward bloke who takes no shit and the look in his eye here sums
up his approach to the marriage as he casts his eye over the audience on the way
to the group.

Rachel is looking down at her baby.

I rather like the dignified stance and expression  on Geoff so here it is.
